Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the Service Development Director role at KCLSU and for taking the time to visit our website to learn more about this exciting, challenging and unique opportunity. We hope that you find the information contained here both interesting and useful when making your application.
KCLSU is intrinsic to the student experience at King's College London; home to one of the brightest, most energetic and exciting student populations from across the globe. As such we set high standards in supporting our student members with a wide range of services. These vary from clubs and societies, volunteering in the community, employability skills and fundraising to operating bars, venues, retail, fitness and catering outlets.
In this broad role you will lead both the Sports and Activities and Commercial Operations staff teams, working alongside our student representation and policy arm to understand what our members want and need. Working with the trustee board and senior management team you will develop a strategy for and deliver services which are appropriate, innovative, value for money and complementary to the College's own services. Students expect so much more in financially difficult times and a competitive market. Our teams need a culture which is customer focused with continually evolving and improving services.
Our organisation is built on the principles of student representation and leadership. Through a commitment to listening to our membership we endeavour to deliver the services they want and need. Our structure is now fit for purpose, we have strong intent, great relationships internally and externally and expect to perform better as an organisation.
We very much look forward to working with our new Service Development Director in ensuring that our organisation continues to identify, develop and deliver excellent services to our members.
We wish you the best of luck in your application.
Warmest regards,
